Not sure where to start? If you have finished your manuscript, the best way to get feedback is by asking people to do a Beta read. Ask a few people you know who enjoy reading the book’s genre to give you feedback. Getting this feedback could not only improve the manuscript but also potentially decrease editing costs. Please contact me if you would like free guidance on what to ask of the readers. The feedback you request may vary by genre.
Once you have finished any changes recommended by your Beta readers, you are ready to have an editor look at the manuscript to determine if a developmental edit is needed or a copyedit/line edit. As a Christian editor, I will assess your manuscript with honesty. I will ask you to send me a couple chapters to do a free assessment of your writing.
